what and where for exterior/interior upgrades?
Ok now that everyone has seen my new RX7, if you haven't
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/should-i-buy-1992-3rd-gen-jdm-rx7-732540/page2/
what should i do for exterior/interior upgrades, i am looking to maybe spend about 2g's. I don't want to do anymore engine work to it except tuning. My body kit needs repair so i am wondering if i should just get a new body kit? If i get a new one it has to follow almost the same pattern (because of the screw holes) and it can't sit as low to the ground, i don't like it when it sits to low to the ground cause you tend to scrape. Also i may need some new shocks because it rides real rough over bumps.
Anyways give me some suggestions based on exterior and interior improvements.
o by the way i really need some new seats, web sites would be helpful with any recommendations.
thanks

rough over bumps is typically normal for fds, and is determined mostly by spring stiffness. blown shocks will give you oscillating bounce after going over bumps, like a up down up down that takes a while to settle.
as far as seats not too many fit will in the fd, most are bucket type racing seats.
try 99 spec front bumper with stock rear, and remove the sideskirts if you don't want it to hang too far down. any other aftermarket options ~will sit as low as what you have now.

If that were my car, I'd get an R1 drivers seat, and replace the passanger side R1 seat, then leave it alone. It's rare to find an FD with such a perfect looking interior.
If you want to get aftermarket seats, not many will fit. The OEM Recaros are the best fitting racing seats. Bride also makes a seat that fits.
My FD came with a recaro drivers seat(not OEM), and I hate it. I'm replacing it with a new stock seat, until I have time to focus on getting some OEM Recaros.
As for your body kit, it looks like it was done properly when it was installed, I wouldn't bother replacing that unless you don't like the look.
I say just get the minor flaws fixed and save the rest for things that pop up down the road.

I know in Japan tan was also an option for R1 seats, but the black looks much better IMO, and when they aren't stained and faded from the sun, they look awesome. Base model seats look awesome too, though I'm not sure they were an option in Japan.
here's what the OEM Recaros look like:

It's hard finding a decent picture of the R1 seats, here's the best I could find..

You'll find a lot of people on here frown at the idea of non-OEM interior and exterior parts. I guess because our cars are just that sexy from the factory

on second thought, one exterior upgrade you should do immediately is to get some aluminum door handles.
https://www.rx7club.com/jkl-engineering-271/gb-fd-aluminum-exterior-door-handles-711791/
They look and work like stock, but are infinately stronger. The stock plastic handles will break, it's only a matter of time. You could replace them with new OEM handles every 5 years if you really wanted to though. The cost of one new OEM handle is over $250, though.

aluminum door handles
R1 driver seat
carbon fiber interior pieces to cover and paint back the ugly whites
reliability / cooling mods
i wouldn't do anything else to the bodykit other than repair/repaint. maybe change spoiler to 99spec with carbon fiber deck. 99spec spoilers makes the car look wider and beefier. giant spoilers tend to make the car look smaller. your bodykit is rare. no one has that in the U.S. ... eventhough ur in japan. unless you really dislike the look of it... i'd say keep it. your front signal light is pretty rare too. CF style cleared signal. the previous owner have pretty good taste... go through the pic thread and you'll find your car is indeed very nice already..

mate ignore all these posts, you are in Japan. I use yahoo auctions. Ive also got a set of 99spec tail lights lying around at home amongst other stuff if your interested.
You can find anything you want new or used on yahoo auctions Japan.
Have you done the relability mods? Without them you face lots of potential issues such as a blown engine. Has it got a new AST.
Used R1 seats can be bought pretty cheap off yahoo auctions. If you want to go OEM, get the R2 seats, they are lighter and i think look and feel alot better than the velour ones.

99spec front bumpers are everywhere, you can easily get one for around 300 to 500 dollars here, probably in silver to match your car.
heres one in white, do a search to find more,

or if you like rice, seeing you used to own a honda, heres a veilside one

You can also go to shops like autobacs and up-garage which stock parts. Upgarage is mostly used and great fun for a browse.
Im not sure what your current one is, looks like a C-west style one, they are more common than 99spec front bumpers and not worth much. I think it looks good.
The OEM recaro seats go for like 2000 dollars on yahoo auctions and Mazda sells them for 4000 a pair.

Don't know how radical you want to go but if you are into carbon fiber interior:
