Have you ever clay bar'd the car? If not it would be a good idea to, it takes all the impurities out of the paint. How old are you products? I'm not sure how well some of those will work if they are old or been thru extreme temps. I find if i wash my car a few times a week the wax doesn't last long at all. I recently bought the whole meguires NXT(?) line and wasn't too impressed. I've always cleaned the paint, and then polish/wax. some of the wax/polish products are combined so you only need one application

I actually go to the local car wash and use their brushes to briefly wash the outside of the car, then I head back to the house to wash all the little corners(half a block away).
I use MOTHERS mag and aluminum polish for the wheels, Eagle One Wet Tire Shine, Armor All Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner(spray can), Armor All Protectant Wipes, and finally Meguiars Cleaner Wax. Eagle One Never Dull is pretty good for the wheels as well.

Use the Mother's Clay Bar system, it works wonders and you can hear it pick up all the dirt up off your paint. Makes the paint so smooth and perfect. Cost only 14 bucks or so and it does wonders.

Try that new DuPont Teflan wax. It suppose to be really good stuff. I use Turtle wax Emerald Sereis amd it also does wonders.
