People do not buy the scoot hood simply for less weight... the scoot hood is built to ventilate. It lets in a mass of air onto the entire bay. Its probably the efficient hood on the market.

here's mine
Mazdaspeed carbon fiber knock off as made by atihun.
Excellent product....not much weight savings but does a great job of venting.
The silver car is a mazdaspeed hood in fiberglass and then painted.

I think VIS makes one like that... check out their site visracing.com
I was sponsored by them last year for my show Civic. Thier hoods are very well made and excellent quality. No need to use hood pins and they have a beautiful clear coat that shines forever. Also all the edges are wrapped as well. Plus I think they are under $450.
