What glue for you?

What's the best glue to use for bonding emblems onto my car? It's totally stripped of badges and I'll be adding the efini emblems (not the usual ones, these aren't filled in). I assume I'll have to strip the wax off the paint, but is there any other prep work involved?

3M makes an adhesive in a brush bottle that I have used and like a lot; it goes on smooth and cleans off easily.

Besides getting the wax off, you should make sure that other contaminants are off the paint...I'd use a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol. It should take off both the wax and anything else on there.

If you look at most factory emblems nowadays, most use the foam tape to mount the emblem instead of pins and will never have bonding issues and fall off.

You said your's aren't the filled in badges, so if there are gaps it might be a bitch to cut the double sided tape so it doesn't overlap the edges of the emblem, so glue might actually be your best bet in this case.
