What do you think?

No cost went into it at all. I came up with the design myself and I had it laser cut and bent in shape at my dads work and E-Coated at my work. I rerouted the cd/ipod/mp3 player behind the seat and have a cored that reaches to the front so I can still listen to music from my ipod.
I am planning on selling the gauges and getting ones that mach the stock ones in the future.
oh and sorry for the small pic size, I cant seem to make them a little larger...

should put some sort of rubber strip where the commander goes to close that gap up and perhaps make the commander itself fit more snug

I like the concept, but I would rather have my radio there.

Nice! I don't even have my radio on 9/10 times, so I wouldn't really miss it, lol.

I know exactly what you mean and I am still trying to figure out what I can do to fix that. The commander is snug tight in there though and I am 100% sure it cant pop out under hard driving and rough roads.

Mainboyd there are some trim products you can find that will slip over the edge of the metal sheet you can usually find them in computer stores for modding cases.

http://www.petrastechshop.com/neruedtrmo.html

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=1877

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/50...g_-_Black.html

something like that would work great.
Also if you are patient and have a steady hand you can buy some vacuum tubing and cut it length wise but it takes sometime! lol

As for this project you have going it looks great! If I did not listen to music all the time then I would consider something like this.

thanks MSilk!

HAHAHA I think people are not reading the whole post or something because like I said before, I still have a stereo behined my seat that has a cored that comes to the front to where my iPhone can plug into which has a radio and a iPod in it. So I didnt delet the stereo from the car, I just moved it.

it's a good concept but i find myself and that most others rarely really use the PFC commander as a gauge anyways, mainly because it is too difficult to focus on quickly unless you use it in single output large font mode. it detracts from the comforts of the car and turns it a little too racey and less street comfortable. i would never start replacing my stereo and comfort controls with ***** and switches for car functionality, if i were to do that i would get a shell and build it into a stripped out racecar, that is how i feel about moving things away and replacing them with drivability ones.

^ I know what you mean. I guess the reason why I like it is because it's different and I have a better view of the PFC. I just didn't like the whole phone holder thing for the PFC because it looks kinda funny having something stick out like that, does not really "flow" with anything in the car to make it look clean IMHO.

The fact you painted it black helps, but its still a no bueno in my book. Just looks so out of place and bland.

I love creative stuff like this. I'm surprised most serious race car drivers haven't done something like this in the past.
