Question What is this???

Today i decided to try and find out why in the hell my AM/FM part of my radio has never worked. I pulled out my player and where i think the antenna hook up should go there was nothing there. I could only find one wire that wasn't hooked up to anything. What is this? Is this the hook up for the AM/FM or where i should plug in the adaptor that i'm gonna have to buy?

I'm tired of listening to my cds they get old after awhile!!!

i think that's a ground. what you need to look for is a female cylinder type plug that you will need a double male adapter for. It looks just like the hole on the back of your cd player.

All of the ***** at circuit city, and best buy tell me i don't need an adaptor then why in the hell can't i get any FM or AM stations it doesn't make any sense. They were the ones that put the thing in too is what pisses me off. When i told them i needed a cable with 2 ends that have 2 plugs on it they thought i was crazy, cause nothing they had there would fit what wires i found that weren't hooked up.
I'm now just pissed.

The two cylinder hookups on the passenger side are for your antenna hookup. Don't believe you would need anything other than that to pick up the radio.

I say take your car back to who ever installed the radio and have them correct the problem. They didn't complete the install. So you didn't get what you paid for. I know its only a $10 adapter but its the principle.

I agree with you, but at the same time you're taking a chance that they are going to screw something else up. Sad I know. I would just keep bitching until they make it right.

You can use an aftermarket head unit with the Bose speakers. I don't know how because my installer did it on my car. I think you need some adapters or something.

While we're on the topic, my car no longer has the antenna. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good options regarding low profile antennas and placement in the FD. Thanks a bunch.

I used a hidden antenna from Autoloc that works awesome. It needs power and grouns and can be put under seat. I have mine mounted on the inside rear glass.
