Here are some pics of my 6½" in the strut towers. I just made the holes in the black plates that hold the stock speakers bigger and fit my speakers in it. I had to put some spacers between the tower and the grill because the speakers would have hit the grill (but be careful about not using too big spacers cause the grills will touch the window).
And don't mind the green tape: I'm fiberglassing an enclosure for my sub.
I put 5¼" in the dash panel, because people told me that they would easily fit (with some modifyng). I succeeded with the passenger one by building a plastic frame that hold the speaker and by fixing it behind the dash.
But I didn't find anyway to fit my speaker on the driver side, so I put it in the hole without any grill (if you find anyway to fit one, LET ME KNOW!)
So I recommend 4" speakers in front.

better off with smaller subs in the way back, with a 15" id suggest the storage bin location as to not compromise the near perfect 50-50 weight distribution, but i guess that depends on what you really want out of your car

I had a set of 5.25" Focal mistral in the doors a few years back. I never had any fittment issues. I also ran 5.25" Focal Utopias and now a pair of Seas. My car had a set of plastic spacers, which I believe come with the car from factory. These spacers provided enough depth for the speakers. If you have the spacers on, and it still doesn't fit, you will probably have to make your own spacers out of wood. It should be easy to do using the factory spacers as a guide. Good luck.
p.s. Just out of curiousity, what does the rest of your system consist off?
