picture 1 is a pic i took from "iforged thread" showing what the veilside rear hatch looks like.

picture 2 and 3 is the original 99'spec rear hatch, both me and the panel shop owner agreed the original rear hatch looks better and flows better with the overall shape of the car.

these were the only things i weren't happy with :

1: side mirrors , 2: gas tank door , 3: rear hatch

all problems solved if you've been following the thread

other than those things im really really happy with the kit and it always puts a big smile on my face every morning i go to see it

So nice man. My only qualms with the kit- A.) The tailights. They should use the stock lights, but make it where you mount them flush with the kit. And B.) Those boxy cutouts behind the rear wheels. Shoulda done something better. Just doesn't really flow well. I'm sure there was tons of research and development that went into this car, but it looks like they fell asleep at the wheel on those two parts.

Also, I want to see somebody incorporate the '99 Spec bumper lights.!!! I smell a photochop.

the stock tail lights fit right in, i just opted to go with after market lights , i had the 99 spec tail lights on there for a few days but decided to go with the ones i have on there now for a more distinct look

I don't see why some people don't like the rear lights. They seem to flow with the kit quite well. Would the VS hatch work with anything other then the fortune kit? I am thinking you have about a US $2k piece you would want to sell. Dunno how big the RX-7 market is down there though. Can't wait to see the pics once you get that bad-boy in the sun.
