Xeroes, did you end up going with the Veilside recommended wheel/tire sizes or did you adjust any?

yah i will get some more pics once the sun comes out, nothing but shitty rain everyday here in NZ

to callsignvega : i used the veilside spec wheel size, but it seems to still sit 1.5 mm inside the back fenders, not really noticable tho

and thanks to everyone else leaving positive feedbacks and to those refraining themselves from bashing

re fortune kit colour

Hi i am also building the rx7 fortune model in the uk , i wanted to know if anyone knows how to change a car colour digitally to assess the best colour or is there a computer game that lists it and allows you to change the colour?

my thoughts were to go entirely black. any ideas anyone or if this colour been done before?

regards Ian

Xeroes,
Very nice. I like the color combination. Turned out great! I saw that picture of you out on the road. I still drive mine regularly, you enjoying it as much as I am? Funny, but sad about the accident. I had some dude fall of the curb watching the car instead of where he was walking. But you are right, driving one of these around, you don't get a lack of attention. I tend to like to head up the coast just to enjoy the drive, as moving around the city, having people pull up to you, follow you, walk up to you at lights etc. can be a bit annoying. It also tends to create its own car show where ever I park it as I am sure you are already experiencing with yours.

hehe i wish we could park up together but im over the other side of the world , your right about creating its own car show, the attention was nice for the first couple of days as it was something new, but now its just a little embarrassing , these days i only take it out for midnight cruises when i have the road to myself

Not trying to be rude to people, but when I am out in the daytime in San Francisco, I just put my sunglasses on, turn up the music and enjoy the ride ignoring those around me. It's the only way to move around in this car without being bothered by the on lookers and the curious, most of whom haven't a clue what kind of car it is.

Of course, I often find myself walking down stairs at night, even when I am not going for a drive just to look at it. Even now, 7 months after completion. It still has that effect on me so I can understand why people stop and stare and want to ask questions.

That is a sharp car! Is there any functional use for the raised bumps around the black area on the front pieces?

I'm more of a Fujita Engineering "FEED" kinda guy myself.

But I'd love to see a this kit done in pearl white with the inside of the doors inlayed with a smoke coated, yet still clear enough to see the texture plain weave carbon fiber.

tell me that wouldn't be sexy.
