thanks, before i purchased the kit i did think it would be awesome cruising around in it but now that the money has been spent ive started getting a bad case of paranoia, i have thoughts of people following me home to see where i live in hopes of stealing it, than i get thoughts of skaties asking me to spin it up and kicking my car in when i refuse, not to mention i cant park it anywhere cause the width of the car will take up one and a half car spaces and reckless people parked next to me will likely open the door smashing it into the side of my kit (as happened many time before)

by the way do you have a link where i can dl more pics of the red veilside rx7 as shown on your avartar?

Xeroes, I look forward to your constant updates on the project. I myself plan to buy this kit down the road after all of the performance work is done. I think white and black will look sweet, minus any stickers of course. As for parking, you do not park a car like this anywhere near other people. You put it out at the very back of the parking lot where no one parks and under a street light. I would also invest in a top of the line alarm.

I had that same case of paranoia at first. But then really, what is the point of doing all this work if you can't get out and enjoy it. Just make sure you park it in a secure alarmed garage with a good vehicle alarm. I drive my car at least one or two days a week. It is not going to be a car you will want to drive somewhere and leave it unattended. When I park in a parking lot, say if I had to run into a store, and park at an angle across two spaces away from other vehicles. If I am going out to a restaurant, I go to one where I can park the car and observe. You would be surprised at how careful people are getting out of their car next to one of these. Sent you a PM were you can find pictures of my car.

I had the car painted that same red, before the conversion. Black was just a natural match for the red and I have seen these cars in all one color and it just isn't the same. Mine was even all red briefly because of a mix up at the body shop and I still have pictures of that. The kit just lends itself to a two color paint job.
My two favorite cars, FD and S15. Really sucks you had to sell yours. My S15 is track only.

man i really wish i didnt see your red/black paint job, you've officially put me back to where i was a month ago, spending hours infront of each pic deciding what color to paint it again lol .
Red/black and Silver/black have been the best color schemes ive seen, i thought about doing metallic blue with black but my s15 was blue so decided to go with white/black as it looks half decent and saves me painting my engine bay,
But damn i cant stop looking at your red/black , its tooooo nice ! >.<

It was an easy decision for me, red always being my favorite color on a sports car. The car started off as an R2 vintage red. I repainted it to its current Red in 2001. Then when I went with the veilside kit I kept the same red, just adding black. I also like the silver & black. That metallic blue with black may not be a bad choice. See if you can find someone good with photoshop to do some samples for you.

I forgot, watch out for the wiring harness under the left fender. Make sure you secure it up out of the way so your tires don't make contact with it.

I would really like to see a single color Fortune RX7.
A nice Ferrari red would make it amazing in my opinion.
I've seen a nice bright red Fortune NSX and I think it is the nicest one yet.

At any rate, I look forward to seeing this progress.

Finally was able to look at that video. I like the color combination, the blue & black looks good on it. Not a fan of what he did to the inside of that one though.

Wonder what the car would look like without a wing or maybe a different wing.
