ewww i really dislike the fortune. anyway....

well those headlights are specific to the kit. if you don't have the fortune bumper/fenders/hood...then those headlights will never fit without lots of modification to the stock body.

if you want something similar, that will work with the stock body...

i would say the closest option would be the C-West flush headlights, though they are expensive and hard to come by. also, they're not projector headlights, so you would have to modify them to use projectors.

here's the c-west lights:

On to the OP's question.

For the front's, I would say the C-West kit or RE-Amiya as mentioned.

For the rear,.... I'm not sure. 99 Specs look nice.

As in.... not sure why you would want to change either?!?

koenigsegg ccx has almost the same headlights if that is what you are looking for.

You can not buy the lights individually from veilside unless you are registered as having the kit, again they do not sell individual pieces from the kit.

Hey guys thanks for the posts.

I understand that the veilside lights only come with the fortune kit. I just wanted a similar comparison. The closest comparison does look like the koenigsegg ccx.

I live in the Philippines so having something customized over here is very cheap compared to other countries. They can perhaps mold the housing for the headlights. I just wanted to get the individual projector lights that are similar to the veilside ones.

What about the rear lights whats a similar comparison for those.

Cheers Everyone....

Your best bet is to research the current crop of HID projectors, then have someone fabricate mounting similar to the Fortune kit.

Lots of information in these threads:

The lights are actually from HELLA. I can't remember what they are called right now. The blinkers were also from HELLA and are 55mm. The caqrbon housing was made by VeilSide. The lexan covers were made by a third party.

Do you think it's possible to actually make the whole kit from scratch without having the real one in front of you and by only looking at pictures ?

I know it would be quite hard in trying to get the right dimensions of the kit...

You don't have much of a choice. If you want a "Fortune" kit without buying one from Veilside, that's going to be the only way. They don't sell ANYTHING from that kit separate.

If your making something from scratch, do something different. If you want the Veilside kit, buy one.

Cool

I know, "Beauty is in the eye of the BEER holder", but I 'm not drunk today and that is the ugliest kit ever produced for the RX7.

Granted the stock RX-7 is a classically good looking car:

I just don't see how people say the Fortune kit is ugly (similar side profile as above):

I'd wager most RX-7 owners say they don't like it because they cannot afford the $20k or so to install one properly. If a vendor said for a promotion they would install the kit+body work+paint for free, I'd bet 99% of RX-7 owners would jump at the offer.

It's like people who say they hate Ferrari's. How could you possible be a card guy and hate Ferrari's? They would be the first ones in the Ferrari dealership if they won the lottery.

Exactly what goes through my mind as well!

I'm not sure why some people can't appreciate both? or for some reason feel the need to trash talk one above the other. In my opinion you hit the nail on the head Callsign_Vega.

Personally I'm glad the cost is so prohibitive, as I don't like having the same thing as everyone else. I love checking out builds and the unique and creative ways people choose to customize their rides. I don't feel the need to be sanctimonious and judgmental whilst doing so.

Card guy = car guy. I cannot type today!

Ya, one of the reasons I bought the kit was to have a fairly unique fast car without the multi-hundreds of thousands you need to spend on the exotic factory cars.

Yes, put in the 1%, since I have spent at least twice the cost of this "well put ugly kit".
Ferrari is art on wheels, this cheap looking plastic kit is Rice on wheels.
They don't even go on the same subject or thread, so please don't insult Ferrari.
LOL
