there is an automatic black stealth with white stripes and some sort of type r style wing running around here with blue neons. it doesnt look bad, but i mean it screams "look at me!". if done right it does look pretty good but its still pretty gay. if you are the flamboyant type who wants lots of random attention go ahead.

mainly the movie and stupid kids ruined it.

i think i'll stick with my flames for cool lighting.

either way its your freaking car do whatever the hell you want.

If you do that to your car, it will never forgive you. It will start leaking oil, coolant, tranny fluid, and rear end fluid. The car will overheat, and blow the apex and coolant seals. Your turbos will start to melt, and seize up.

Not only that, your nice car will look like cheap trash. Don't do it.

Wait.... I don't understand how you can call these things going too far and then say that silly neon lights could be ok. They seem pretty similar to me. To each his/her own however, just don't get pissed off when I laugh.

Actually, no offense to you, I could care less. Cuz again, my taste is just that...mine. And I'm convinced I could pull it off looking damn good. Not tacky, bulbs hidden, no ricer stickers, car slightly dropped, color accenting the car properly...but again, that's just me.

Again, I think those LEDs are super gay, but I've seen very few cars w/ neons and they looked hot. End of story for me. It's really that simple. I liked it, cuz it looked hot. You can't exaclty get away w/ it w/ a stock FD, but if you're pushin some power to back it up, and the FD's dressed up nicely (nice body kit, rims, drop, etc), I'm sure she'd be pretty as hell. A def. eye catcher.

I dont even know why people ask questions like this. If you like it do it. People on here are always gonna have soemthing negative to say. Ive installed a shitload of these kits, and it usually takes an hour or so to get them mounted to the point where they cannot be seen from any angle unless the car is on a lift. I think they look ok if done properly. If you laugh at them and think its rice then fine, but you also seem them on old school hot rods and muscle cars to just highlight the vehicle. Id only use them because I have to do local shows and shows in boston as a vendor and it draws more attention. I dont laugh at anyones car, reguardless if I think it looks stupid or not. I appreciate all work and time someone puts into their car because to them its a reflection of their personality. to laugh like that because u dont agree is childish and lame.

Put red ones on, so people will think you have a glowing red pre-cat!

The only time they look good is when they're turned OFF.

Come on, you wouldn't put neon under a Porsche or a Viper, would you? Show more respect for your FD than that.

There's only one possible "cool" application for neon on an FD... red behind the brake vents in the front fenders, triggered by an rpm switch.

I agree. When looking for another car, other than the FD, I was also considering an M3 and an M Coupe. Sometimes when I read all the dumb **** on here that I do, I wish I had opted for the BMW. Ugh!

Speedking, I dunno how it is in Cali, but over here, the ONLY people who own M3s are kids. Adults don't drive M3s...they usually have 540s, 740s, 745s, M5s, etc.

Yea Jim, I figured as much. But I just don't see anything wrong w/ making your car prettier, as long as it's not all show and no go! I have a body kit on my car, but you better believe I drive the hell outta my car, and I take her to roadcourses every chance I get.

Exactly, you don't see too many riced out new M3s, Vipers, NSXs, or even Corvettes, for that matter. What kills me is that 99% of the members of this forum make fun of "ricers" when they do the exact same **** to their car as the kid next door does to his Civic. It's bad taste and hypocrisy all rolled into one.

You know, I don't mind them. I like when I run into a bunch of guys with well done cars chilling in a parking lot somewhere. I can get into the show aspect of the whole import scene. But, the car has to be done right, and I think that it's possible to do so.

Thanks for all the comments guys positive or negative, all had some points.

and a big FU to the dude saying im gonna buy a car that kids can't afford. Thats just a fountain of ignorance in itself so I will leave it at that.

and on a side note, I wasn't planning on buying neons to throw on my FD, Its just when I was addicted to ebay/combined with the time the FnF came out, I bid on some Blue street glow undercar kit and won it , and it has just been collecting dust, because I planned on putting it on another car I had which crapped out, so I figured why not give it a shot.

and to all the guys saying its like saying pull me over..ect, thats why there is a switch on/off, and ever heard of a car show?

and last but not least before the FnF did you have the same opinions of neons? or are you just saying they are rice no matter how used, just to save some ridicule on yourself, and jump on the band wagon of people with the same opinions on what is rice and what is not, some of which have a huge GT aluminum spoiler, and a oversized tach. to each his own.
