what do you all think of the neon underbody kits?


Rice?


Looks good when tastefully done, I.E can't see the bulbs, on a car without stickers all over it ect.


I think they look cool when done right.

 

All neon underbody kits have one thing in common: they look stupid.

 

I pretty much always haev the opinion that you should do what you want with you own car...

But I suggest if you have a nomex suit to go ahead and put it on before the flames start flying...

 

Only time they look decent to me is if you cannot see the bulbs and you don't "spotlight" the ground under the car.

 

Tough call. FNF basically killed it for me though.

 

Dont like them and never will....I crack up when I see them on cars...

 

yeah but then again like I said tastefully done, without 50 million stickers on your car and a wing like your gonna lift off and go into space, they look cool

 

 

I guess to each his own, get them if you want it, but dont feel bad when peeps make fun of you for having it...

 

I laugh very hard when I see them.

 

In a word, horrible. For the love of God, please do not do this to your fd.

 

Neon is perhaps the king of pointless rice mods. But I respect anyone's right to do what they want to their car.

These things are the definition of "Rice" all you'll need next is a chrome kick panel that reads "too low for a fat ho"

 

...and one of those LED license plate frames where the lights chase eachother around the outside. How many of you guys have one of those?

I personally think they are ridiculous. I try not to point when I am laughing those cars.

to each, his own. as long as you like it, fk what everyone else has to say about it. in anycase, they are illegal in most states unfortunatly. personnaly, I have not seen enough of them on cars to have any stand about them. The only ones which i have seen, especially on a fd, would be on FATF. If they did come on a car that i bought though, i would not rip them off or anything like that.

 

Oh, and don't forget the led windshield washer lights while you at it... why, why, why do you people insist on doing the most retarded **** to your cars.

 

Man the LED washers are stupid as ****... completely different than underbody lights. I've often thought of this question before of whether or not they would look good on an rx7 and I usually think no, but if done right... it can look very good. Your car as got be rediculously lowered though for it to work. To each their own.

 

what i think people are trying to say is have respect for the beauty of the fd and don't go doing **** to it that makes it comparable to other types of cars that are a dime a dozen and can't get the second looks or respect an fd gets.
on another note... you paid for it you do what you want to it. there is no way of doing neon lights with taste imo

Neon lights are not safe ... it causes many drivers to laugh hysterically and some of these lose control of their car.

 

I gotta agree w/ the guys who said it's a tough call, but if done right, it can look real hot. Done right implies a not-riced out car, and that you have the looks to back it up. I dunno if you've ever seen a very sleek lookin FD w/ a body kit, nice 18" rims, lowered, and at night, say at a meet or show or what have you, nice neons. I don't care how much people hate/flame, it can look VERY hot.

While it may be an extension of the rice thing, comparing neons to LEDs on the wipers and license plate frame etc...that's going too far. Those are items that look horrible on ANY car, no matter what. So again, if you can bear to put aside your hate for F&F for a sec, and give it an honest open-minded look when it's done right, I'm sure some of you will change your mind that neons can look REAL nice on an FD. I know, because I used to think the same...
