UnderBody Kits

I was wondering if you guys could tell me about on what conditions Underbody lights are legal, illegal. I have heard that red, blue and green are illegal, also I have heard that all colors are legal as long as you can't see the tubing or bulbs. I really want to get RED. Thanks

The underbody light are illegal in most states. You can have them installed and can use them at shows or when you are in a parking lot (while the vehicle is not moving).
The reason why it is illegal to have the lights on while driving is becuase it causes a distraction to other drivers.
I used to have them on mine and one night I forgot to turn them off when i was leaving and got pulled over becuase they where on.

Dammit, I thought we were talking about aerodynamics and downforce (not to frown on your topic...but the wording...). Well the lights I know nothing about, but I DO know that they're illegal in quite a few states.

Red face

Maybe it's just me but I feel it's a bit odd for cars with underbody light...but at any rate, neon lights on car is illegal in most states....including INdiana.

I live in Indiana, and I see them all the time on cars while driving. I guessing they haven't made the illegal yet, but like I said I did hear the Red, Blue and Green are illegal??

Most people tought it was cool when I had mine on. I used to have the blue ones. But I took them off awhile ago.
It all depends on the person taste.
Some like it some dont.
But it turns heads when they are on.

I can almost guarantee that red and blue are both illegal in all states for them to be visible from the front of the vehicle. In Florida the actual law states "visible from the front of the vehicle" or something like that. I don't think they look too bad...sometimes. I saw some clear/blue ones on a blue car and I wasn't disgusted. Main problem now is that its rice basically since alot of people do it. Please, oh please don't mix and match colors if you have to do use them.

I was thinking of a chassis belly pan and diffusers for some reason...

I know they are illegal in Connecticut and here it doesn't matter if you can see the bulb or not all you have too see is the color...ANY color...

I don't think they're awful. In fact I kind of like them.
But just depends on the car and whats been done to it.

Heres the best description of underbody lights ive heard. "sure they look cool, but be aware they are ilegal almost everwhere, so you will get ticketed for them and have to sell them on ebay".

Neons will cause the taste police to confiscate your 7 and give it to someone that has more respect for the car. (in a perfect world anyways)

I'd laugh at anyone putting those stupid muffler lights in their 7. I'm guessing they'd either be so carboned up in a week to be pointless, or they'd burn after an hour long medium paced drive. Anyone willing to admit putting these behind a rotary? I'm curious as to how well they hold up.

my friend's roomate has a stealth painted black with white stripes, a supra style wing, and blue neons underneath. for once i was actually impressed by the showyness. it looked very clean. but it did have wheelmax looking rims.
