things to do with stereo DIN?

I've got my cd deck where I want it, but it only takes up one of the two DIN slots in my FC. Any ideas of what else I could put there? Something that will fit right in...

Some people put a pocket in there, gauges, or even a Ford cup holder/coin tray to fill that spot. I put gauges in the upper din panel on my car.

Just buy the pocket for now, and if you need a place for gauges, you can place them there in the future. BTW, the pocket shouldn't be too expensive.

A pocket is the best short term solution.

Circuit city, bestbuy, good guys or any small stereo shop will sell you one. If you go to a big store, don't expect to find them on the shelves. Ask one of the audio installers and they'll get you one.

i was wondering the same thing...right off the bat i'd say get a custom made panel to mount guages to...but that won't work for me since my guages will be custom made into my original cluster...

i was thinking about some type of full din eq..or some type or crossover...hmm...years ago i had this setup and it worked awesome...but now aday's most stereos come already equipped with eq's. i wonder if any company sitll makes eq's full din size. anyone?

Where'd you get the DIN pocket from? A ford? I don't want the cup holder/coin holder combo because i have a Auto and if i'm in park it won't open. I just need like a DIN pocket. Thanks guys.

I mounted my AVC-R below my headunit...I have an R2 and it didn't have the stock CD player, so I have this nifty little black door that opens and so now behind it is my AVC-R...if you want I can take a pic...

For an FD you can just order them from any mazda dealer. for FC, I have no clue.

arent all DIN slots the same size? if the pocket fits in the FD then it should fit any other car.
