Subtle vented hood that looks good with '99/series 8 bumper?

I'm considering putting a vented hood on my car with my '99 bumper (I will be keeping the R1 wing and have the RE street diffuser). Previously I decided that an aftermarket hood was not an option given that I don't want to have too much of a standout car and prefer the subtle stock look. But given that I'd like to run full boost on the track without cooling issues I think the hood may become a necessity. Carbon fiber would be nice painted but it seems like a lot of those hoods have fitment issues so maybe aluminum or a modification to the stock hood? I've been looking at a lot but I think drawing on experience from you guys would help because there's a million hoods out there and usually the cars pictured don't have a body setup similar to mine. Thanks

-Andy

Have you looked into the FEED hood? It's the closest to stock look...adding a bit of an agressive edge, while being one of very few aftermarket hoods that keeps the stock body lines.

Here's a picture from ShineAuto's groupbuy...

Or you could always vent the stock hood...

This is my favorite, but of course your imagination is the limit...

Thats a nice hood, I didn't even realize it was on the car from most angles and I'm sure fitment is pretty good from shine. I don't really like the shape of the vents though, doesn't seem to match the body lines of the car. Thanks for the ideas.

That hood actually looks really nice in person. I saw it at Seven Stock on a car painted body color. Didn't even realize it was an aftermarket hood until I looked more closely. Very subtle.

This is my dream hood. A JUN aero bonnet. I thinks its the most subtle aftermarket hood. And its a dream hood considering its $1600 new from JUN's machine shop in Japan, and I have never seen one on another member's fd

A runnig-wind is discharged efficiently and engine room is cooled efficiently because this bonnet has one air duct at the central of front, and it has two air duct at the right-left part on rear part. It eases the influence of the heat which rotary engine has. This bonnet is made from FRP material so it is very light. It can prevent vibration of bonnet at the time of a high-speed-running because it is the three hold type which uses both two bonnet pin and normal holder.
* Be sure to install a hood pin for the safety.
*The bonnet pin hole is not opened at the time of shipment. Required processing

Another very good option other than the FEED hood. I actually like this one better.
