Angry Stolen Scoot hood FYI

I know this may be a double post but considering the circumstances...

FYI - Stolen Scoot Hood
Just an FYI, my scoot hood (red and damaged underneath but repairable) was stolen off my totalled car while at Maztech in Tampa, Florida. It was there all of 2 days so I'm sure it was an RX-7 person who had seen the car there.

Please let me know if anyone comes across someone with a new hood or is trying to part one out.

It was a few weeks ago but I thought I would lie low first to see if they exposed themselves.

The car was totalled so uninsured at that point. I had it towed there from buying it back from Allstate so I could swap out parts into a new car.

Thanks,

David

Damn, that sucks ***! Is the shop going to cover any of that at all? Don't shops (especially larger ones) have insurance to cover theft like this?
Also, I noticed that you posted in a thread about a CF hood.... was yours CF under the VR?

I'd think the best place for a crook to pass that off is either parts trader or ebay.....

I'll keep an eye out over here, but it's gonna be hard to pin a hood onto 1 owner 3k miles away...

g'luck

Someone said there was a primered one on ebay but I looked and never found it. It was actually FG not CF. It had 2 sparco hood pins and was damaged, particularly underneath from the accident.

I found one that closed yesterday on ebay. It purported to be brand new though. I talked to the guy who won the auction and he said it's coming from Japan and is supposed to be new but he'd look at it for me.

By the way, I have 2 sets of rain trays now for it, anyone want them? They don't fit with my intercooler and I definitley don't need 2 sets.
