"stock" looking cd player

i dont think there is an aftermarket company that makes a headunit that doesnt flash because they probably use the "flashyness" to sell more. you could probly get a stock cd player from any car and put it in

I have a Sony CDX-M650 which is definitely NOT going to pass for a stock headunit but also isn't all too flashy. Its a motorized display that when its closed it very clean looking. I think my model is discontinued but the newer versions are nicer yet.

Me too. VERY good quality without the "steal me" bling.

Have you looked at Nakamichi, Denon, and McIntosh source units? Plain, no-frills, and stock-looking - exactly what some people are looking for.

youd need an adapter probly and a custom housing, but yeah its possible, just need to be able to connect wires and set it in the hole. not the cheapestm, but its possible
i actually meant it as a joke.

Do you guys know of a reputable online dealer for Nakamichi? Has their quality come back to where it was 6 or 7 years ago? I'm more familiar with home audio.. I know that Mcintosh makes very good home CD players.. Just wondering if they translate well to car audio.

I won't let go
Sorry for the glare. Can opt to make it not flashy and works well. If you can get over the fact that you have to use the remote, then it's a perfect match. The lighting fits in as well.

Nakamichi CD-400 II. The backlight matches the stock gauges, it has a very natural sound, looks understated, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. As someone else mentioned the downside to Nakamichi stuff at the moment is that they don't offer MP3 support. I've been waiting almost a year for them to come out with an Mp3 deck and still nothing
