Based on how my door locks work and the factory wiring diagrams, it appears that the 93 FD had power lock on the passenger side only. Does anyone know if any model year had power lock on the drivers side? Also, is the solenoid on the passenger side built into the latch? I'm Leary to tear it apart cause I can't see in there good enough to tell how it all goes together. I'm about to the point where I'm thinking about disconnecting the cable to the internal lock and rigging solenoids to them so I can just use my alarm to lock/unlock the doors. I'd lose my manual locks, but I'd still be able to use the key in a pinch.

 

I can't believe somebody out there doesn't know something about this. Why is it people are so anxious to flame someone or try to force their opinion, but they won't take a second to help a fella out? This forum sure has changed.

It's been my experience that the search engine on this site isn't worth even trying. Type in door locks and you'll most likely get threads on engine mounts.

 

99 spec had keyless entry you can get a passenger side actuator off any rhd model ( our driver side)
