Steering Wheel Wrapping??

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with getting a steering wheel rewrapped after its been worn. Is it expensive, look good, actually last? Any comments would be appreciated I'm looking at a Nardi aftermarket that needs rewrapped and not sure if its even possible.

It is expensive 300+ was what i was quoted for. The problem with re-wrapping it is it's labor intensive, snitching must be done by hand and out of two places i went so far, one won't do it, the other one will only do the ring part of the wheel and not the spokes, and when i asked if they could just copy the style of the wheel (spokes are glued with leather), they refused because their leather was much thicker and would not last as long as oem or nice (the spoke part) So i just walked out of the store... still searching for a place (i got a 350mm mazdaspeed 3 spoke steering wheel, sitting here for months now)

Leatherseats.com sells leather skins so that you can re-wrap your own wheel. If this is the Nardi wheel that was used on the miatas, he probably has a pattern for it. If he doesn't I bet he could copy what you have. I ordered a wrap for my truck (it didn't have OEM leather) and it cost me $50. I imagine it will be less than $100 depending on the leather you choose to use.
