I just bought a couple of 5.25" sony xplodes to replace the fronts in my car. I thought they were going to be a decent buy considering the name and my budget but they sound like crap. They sound like my head unit is over powering them, but they're rated to 120w. RMS is 35w, headunit is a 180w 4 channel SupertunerIII. I wired them straight from the headunit, is there something I could have not done properly?

 

Try adjusting your levels (bass and treble) At the loudest volume that you will be listening to them Until it sounds good to you

 

can't make it sound good....gonna try another supertuner I have...it's only 35w per channel
