Speaker bracketts

Hey does anyone know a website or someone on here that custom makes speaker brackets for the fd? I need to find a set of 6x8 brackets for the rear and a set to fit 6 1/2 in the front....

there are 6 1/2 brackets for the front on ebay. they will work but you must buy slim mount speakers. I did not and I had to modify the ones I bought to get them to clear the glass. do a search for FD3S speaker. They line up with stock mounting holes. Spendy beasts though.

I bought mine from the guy on Ebay just a couple of months ago, but you're right, I don't see them there now.

Sorry.

Wonder if its because of complaints. I did a fair amount of modding to get mine to work. A lot more than what most people want to do. And he really should put what depth speakers will work with his bracket. I wouldnt have spent the money had I known prior and made my own instead.

depth the main thing. I also dremeled out a U-shaped notch where the stock wiring harness goes into the door. The speaker brackets would pinch the hell out of it or not fit period if you dont cut the notch out. Also, I couldnt get my bottom of the door panel to go over the bottom 2 mounting notches of the bracket. The wood is thicker than what the stock plastic bose enclosure was. So I ended up cutting the bottom two notches in half so the door panel clears and you still can use the mounting holes. All the mounting holes were lined up perfect. the one good thing about the bracket.

If I was unemployed, I would buy a router and make a true-fit bracket for 6-1/2's. I have only done a test fit of mine and looks like it BARELY clears the door panel, but plenty on the glass now. I didnt have the right tools either so my "round" spacer I made is super ghetto.
