i think theres a fix somewhere on robrobinette's site or one of the other how-to sites.
it seems like a lot of work just for something that will keep the handle-ripping bitches coming back for a rematch though.

Try carpart.com
Hey.....I bought one on (actually 2 but sold the other already) carpart.com for about 35.00 bucks. You could find all kinds of parts there. I even bought a door panel (complete w/everything) for 150.00 which is still better than shelling out 375.00 for just that piece from Mazda. Good Luck

Actually, that happened to me twice (not the ninja kick, but someone pulling out the door handle). It was funny seeing their reaction when they pulled out the door handle. I simply put some electrical tape around it to sort of keep it on and forgot about it.
Edit: A new door handle is about $300. I think rob robinette's site has a how-to on how to fix the current one, but I'm not sure.

door handle fix
The robinette fix is not that hard to do. I did it in an afternoon. Just do not be in a hurry removing the door panel, or you will damage the barbed fasteners. Use the JB weld and drill and install a bolt or long screw to reinforce the plastic pos handle. Let it dry completely before pulling on it.
Oh yeah- passengers must wear a straight jacket when in the car so they can't get their #@^&*! hands on anything. No food in car. No drinks in car. Keep your greasy fingers off the windows. If there is mud on your shoes, they get left at the side of the road. No pets, no gum, no sharp objects in pockets, no packages. On second thought- no passengers, unless they are female and completely naked.
