Should I paint my Carbon KS Hood?

Even my Trusted Advisors are sending me mixed signals on the subjetc.

I've attached a few pertinent pictures for inspiration.

Thanks for your feedback!

Me too....Will you have to do much prep work to smooth out carbon finish?

Yes.

My personal sense is that a black hood (or diffrent from the body color) just simply messes up the gorgeously flowing lines of an FD.

I say paint it. I own a CYM as well, and I can tell you that the only problem you'll have is getting the hood paint to match the fenders and nose. Most body guys will want to repaint the entire front clip and blend it into the doors to make it less noticeable.

Again, just my .02

I painted mine. More people say it looks better with paint than without.

Paint it. And more importantly, get it adjusted so it fits perfectly!

either paint the hood to match or paint the wing black... I think black wing-hood-rims look very nice

If it is a good quality hood paint it. If its a cheep replica it is going to require a tone of body work to get smooth enough to paint.

^Good point. It will likely need alot of prep work....primer and block sanding. It's not hard, but I've seen alot of painted CF where the cross-hatch pattern of the CF is still visible in the finish.

"Yellow Panda". Clever!

The car is currently known as the "Bionic Jellybean".

Hard to say which sounds more menacing? Either way, it would be right in line with those instances when girls think the car is "cute".

I'm thinking... "CUTE??!! You've obviously haven't heard it. It's NOT "cute""
