A guy can do what he wants with his car, many people have differant opinions about ceartain looks. Some like the JDM look, some like the wide body look, some like the ricer look, some like the race look, hell even the stock/sleeper look. Depending what you do with your car will eventually determine the look ( not always ). If you get made fun of for it thats just tough, but there will be just as many people who like the way your car is.

I think the spoiler COULD work, if the rest of the exterior wasn't COMPLETELY STOCK looking.
Rear-diffuser, wide-body fender flares, '99 front-conversion or other, some rims....THEN it could work.
The pic of the rear isn't horrible, but the end pieces on the ends of the spoiler definitely are way too small for that style of wing. But even retaining the OEM Mazda rear emblem with that spoiler is very...."eeewwww"
Overall, I think you need to be directing your aesthetic creativity towards your FD in other places, before essentially going with the "Look at my stock Honda rockin' this BOEING 747 airplane spoiler."
:/

This thread really made me laugh! at the same time I do feel bad, that your getting so much negative attention.
If you like it, that is the main thing. It's your car right! people are always going to be on one side or the other.
If you care about the opinions on here, you need to take into account a lot of the good points raised. Function and Form being chief among these. A non-functional aggressive looking wing on a stock car, will never look good, and it doesn't help when it isn't functional.
I was happy to see it wasn't as small as I pictured it to be, but you really need to do other body mods to pull off what I think your going for. The RE Amemiya wing on the members car from the first page is sick by the way, and a good example of how to pull off this look. You have to look at your car as a sum of it's parts and certain parts don't work without others. You can't cut corners on quality parts either, things on Ebay are cheap for a reason. With that in mind what are your future plans? are you keeping the car stock? or are you planning to upgrade the body?
