Under seat subwoofer..

hello,

do you know if there is enough room for a 10'' sub under the seat? the dimensions are 42.5 x 17 x 33cm. unfortunately my car is in the tuning shop and the tuner is away....

thanks,

I would say no. Thats not a lot of air space for a subwoofer. Not even an 8".

You can go a different route and still have an excellent sounding system by placing a powered subwoofer up against the wall right behind the seats though.

the only under seat sub that may fit is the stock sub out of a WRX. you can get them pretty cheap on the NASIOC classifieds, for how small they are they have decent bass, if you put one under each seat you would have adequate bass for a small car like a 7. i checked nasioc and they seem to go for about $50 without the harness or bracket

Tweeters are the only thing I can think of that would go under the seats.

You can actually buy 6" subs also which may fit in an FC. I have never looked at how much space there really is as Ive never owned one. That stock Subaru one may be decent but for the same or less money I'd build your own and buy a better sub. Most stock subs, even in the Lexus and sorts are paper cones and surrounds...ewwwww.

Lots of manufacturers make underseat subs (clarion, alpine, JVC, Pioneer etc). They are very slim. A friend of mine put one in his 09 STI and it thumps pretty good. It's not like super loud and annoying but it's just enough for a good audio experience in your car.

The one thing, is FD's ... have very low seats and I don't quite know if any of them would fit.
