Shaving FB Badges?

I have seen lots of pictures of this done and it looks awesome im just wondering if theres a way to take off the badges without breaking them. Im gonna repaint the car silver and think it would looks cleaner without them.

Thanks

I think that for the fenders you have to disconnect them from the back. Meaning you would need to remove fenders. I believe the rear ones just pull off (glued on) but dont quote me there.
