right hand drive conversion, anyone done it?

I'm looking into converting my fd to rhd. just looking for someone who has done it or has already looked into doing it. I figured most of the suspension pieces would have to be swaped, new dash, door panels, etc. just looking for a round about figure. so if anyone has any input or info it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Why? So he can look *fly*" driving from the passenger seat, that's why?

What a waste of cash just for that reason!

well my main reason is that my fd is now going to be a show only car. i want to go all jdm meaning 99' spec lights, bumbers, wheels, etc. and it's alot easier and cheaper than importing a REAL japanese 7. as far as the drive through problem, it is no problem. I only drive my car on sundays and monday (my so called weekend) and i don't eat all that greasy-*** sorry excuse for food that all these fast food joints put out. it has NOTHING to do about "looking cool" nor do i care if it will screw up the balace of the car since I don't race. Not this one anyways. My "Z" is for work and back, and I know a guy around the corner from me with a white fd that I will most likly buy for "racing"

I saw the title and already fired up the blow torch. You are perpetuating the idea that being MaD JDM Yo! is cool. Real original idea for a show car. You're doing the same thing Mazda thought of 6 years ago when they redesigned the front of the FD. I'm sure you'll tell people you brought it over while you were serving as a marine or something.

Do us all a favor. Go buy an RSX, convert it to RHD. Get the type R valve cover for the engine. Get the JDM (OMG JDM WTF HOLY MOLY!) body kit and a few Type R stickers and you have yourself a show car. It's a 2005 Integra Type R.

O...and Thanks for coming out.

I have thought about doing the swap myself seeing as I have just about everything needed for it from a front clip. You would have to either cut out the firewall and swap in the new one, or cut holes in the US firewall for the steering collumn and the heater/ac lines. Mount the pedals on the opposite side, which includes moving the brake booster and abs module. The rest of the job would be adapting the wiring harness. If you are interested in my frontclip, or just the pieces needed for the swap pm me about it.

-and give the guy a break, is such a bad thing to want to have a car that stands out.

Converting to RHD for a show car exhibits that obviously for some reason, having a car exactly like the one Mazda sells in Japan over here is cool. Why can't he just go full 99spec on the car and be done with it? Converting your car to RHD to look cool is the epitomy of rice.

^^i agree with everythign sikopath has said. exept for the JDM being epitomy of rice. i tihnk the REALLY pointless stuff is opitomy of rice. (aluminum spolers, fake side exhasut, neons, etc.) a lot of the time the JDM stuff liek headlights look better to younger people. but a RHD conversion is pointless. it actually would be cheaper and easyer to import a real one.

all i can say is i dont think that there is anything wrong with it and until someone comes up with a better reason than its "rice" or "MaD RiCE Yo" i dont see any problems with it. I bet that alot of people consider most of our cars "rice" also. its all about opinion.
