Yeah, i'd buy a replica!!! But i'm saving for the real deal because not to many in the U.S. have it right now . . . www.memoryfab.com said they had one FULL kit (front, sides, back, AND FLARES) imported into the United States. Can't wait til that person pops up in a mag or here on the forum

The total kit is $2600 - how much do you think you would save with a replica that retains most of the orginal's quality (assuming the orginal is a quality product to begin with, which we don't know, because no one that I have seen has had this kit so far)? Sheesh.
The most I could see someone saving is a few hundred dollars, which could easily be wiped out if the body shop has to do extra work to make it fit. There was a thread around here where a female forum member was paintng her car orange and had some kit ordered. The pics showed pieces that DIDNT EVEN COME CLOSE TO FITTING. Looked like it was for another car, it was that bad.
I use to not be bothered by the idea of replicas - and honestly, some original body parts for the FD are ridiculously expensive, and deserve to be undercut - but after playing around with FG, it boggles my mind why some companies make blatent copies. If they have the skills to copy, they certainly have the skills to make something orginal. Heck, alter the original parts' lines a bit, add some different detail, whatever.
