The hardest and most annoying thing I did on my Talon (I've worked on everything too, suspention, rebuilt the engine at home, EVERYTHING but the trans and front and rear diffs has been gone threw) and pulling the steering wheel is such a bitch. I will never in my life do it again. I'm assuming you have a steering wheel puller? If you don't go to an automotive store and get a steering wheel/harmonic balancer puller and unlike what some might say you do need to wack it with a hammer. Get it really tight and wack it one time really hard, then tighten it down more and if the threads in the steering wheel doesn't give out on you like it did me it should pop right off. Yeah mitsu makes shitty steering wheels, the two threaded holes for you to screw in bolts (for steering wheel puller) gave out and so I had to tap them and in the tight space it was hard as hell to do... It took me a little over 4 hours to get the wheel off and I already knew what I was doing. All that because I didn't like having a wiper arm that had a cruise switch when I got rid of cruise control.
