Do you have any idea?

I told him Mazdaspeed 3 2007 red-orange would be nice.

What do you guys think?

 

I like the RX-8 red, velocity red mica.

 

For sure it won't be the RX-8's red metallic, I really don't like it.

 

I don't like the red-orange of the mazda 3, imo makes it look too much like a plastic toy.

 

But FDs ARE toys!

Sorry the picture is just the engine bay but it shows how it can change from red to orange depending on the lighting.

Then this would be my other suggestion but a better quality paint job with a deep clear coat.

I struggled with this same topic as I'm having my VR FD repainted. Kicked around the idea of a Porsche Guards Red or Dodge Viper Red (as lighter options) and the Honda S2000 red (darker option)... In the end I am simply redoing the factory VR. Benefits are that (a) the door jams and engine bay will match very closely without needing to be repainted (assuming they are not faded) and (B) the same shop can easily match the color again in the future as needed.

I think the VR, when applied by a quality paint job, will be a very nice, deep red shade. I wouldn't let yourself get talked out of doing VR just because your car does not look nice (paint faded, pinkish, etc.)... A fresh VR is hard to beat.

Definitely NOT a fan of red, but I gotta say purerx7's car looks great. I always thought brandy wine would look good too.

 

It isn't even a metallic, it is mica.

 

A couple of examples of brandywine. This is a Candy color also, so base coat has a great effect on the end result. The Chevelle has a silver base I think, not sure about the Camaro.

 

I'm gonna vote for stock as well.

I'll be in the minority and go with the Mazdaspeed red as a nice choice. It reminds me of Ferrari red for some reason and really stands out among other red cars.
