Rear speakers in the 1st gens

Has any one tried to mount 8" subs in the rear where the 6.5 speakers go? Want a little more bass but do not want a box in the hatch or even to be seen.

You know that sounds like a kewl idea! i got my 5¼'s to fit in the front holes I think ill try some 8s in the rear hey

Let me know how it turns out if you do it. Would like to know if it works before I cut my GSL-SE. Maybe I can try it on my 83 GS if I get it running soon.
Just something to think about is the depth of the hole and the sub you use. If you do it can you send me a pic?
