it looks like you have to drill holes into your firewall to get it to fit. However, it seems to look more functional that normal strut tower bars. Racing beat has one similar for the 1st gen, and that strut is banned in SCCA or competitions because it works too well

 

No, I think he was talking about the racing beat bars that are available for the first generation rx-7's. The have the same basic shape.

 

You could have someone make you one of these for 100 bucks.
