Talking RE Amemiya GT AD Widebody Install

Car has been in the shop a few days and everything is going smoothly. Here are the pictures so far. More should be coming tomorrow. Have to goto the shop to help the cut a custom vent in the fenders for more air flow. Should be interesting.

Looking good man, I was wondering what one might have to pay for this kit? and what other RE-Amemiya panels are you running on it?

Oh the price is quite high. I got it from japanparts.com. Shipping alone was over $1200. All together it was around $6000 shipped to my door from japan. You can go on their site and get the price quote for whatever.

Oh and im running RE's original front bumper, before the 99spec lights. With their carbon lip and pro carbon canards. Still need to order a GT style RE wing and a hood, either the RE facer 9 or the an R-magic one.

If you are talking about the carbon canard looking things for the rear, no im going to get those. I think they will not fit since I am adding vortex gens to my diffusor.

Where are you in VA? If you are in Southern VA, I'd like to check it out. I actually have been trying to find a shop that does good work down here.

Sweet! "Amemiya Design" is the good stuff. I'm glad there are still a few of us that go for authenticity.

Nice, man! My dream is to some day build an FD with that kit, RE headlight conversion, Enkei RP03 wheels, and some other crazy stuff.

M&M Collision in fairfax is doing the work. I know someone who knows the owner and he cut me a great deal on all the work.

Are you sure about those offsets? While I don't know the exact additional width the RE-A fenders add, I'm pretty sure that it's not too much different than my Burnout fenders (i've got 18x10.5 +43, 285/30 all four corners, and fronts are inset about 10mm off the outer most part of the fender lip).

The front is definitely not going to be anywhere near to using up the additional track width up front (18x10 +50 is a common front fitment for the stock fenders), and the rear is going to extend past the stock fenders almost a full 3 inches. Does the rear RE-A fender extend that much past the stock sheetmetal? I could see the rears if you were going for a drift look (225 width tires stretched over that 12" wheel, head-turned-to-one-side camber), the front specs says otherwise.

According to the people Ive spoken with about wheels for this kit, these should work. We will see tho.
