RE AD Hood 9?

All,

Does anyone in the US have one of these hoods actually on their car?

http://www.i-m-racing.com/newreamadhoo.html

(I'd like to see an original, not one of the knock-offs.)

I'd really like to see it in person, especially one that's been painted. I'm located in CA. Thanks,

-ch

They are rare. Few months ago we had a post in the Interior/Exterior concerning a guy who got his hands on the first imported Ad-9 Hood. Other than this site, only other place I know of that sells them is Rotary Extreme... but there is a guy who works for Re-A outside of Cali who posts on these forums and can get you a deal... Hopefully he reads this.

Yep, rotary extreme is now making the AD9 hood as well. Chuck has it on his site as the N1 hood.

I just ordered my CF hood a few days ago and it should already be finished (they had to make it). It should be here in a few days, and when I get it I will make sure to post a good review on fit and quality. I will also include pics since I have a digicam. I just wish the place making them or the freight company would hurry up and call me already, I'm getting all excited waiting for my hood to show up.

It's a fantastic looking hood, and the only one I would consider besides the AD 9 is the Odula type 2.

RedR1, if possible, make sure to get some painted black ones up. I have some photoshopping to do, and it would be a great help.

Sure

Functional vents, and an area for air to the intake(s).

I really like the aggressive look of the AD 9 though, and I'm 99% sure I'm going to get it.

Here is a nice image of one on a car from another thread from RedR1.

My guess would be $1400 range, as most CF hoods are (and based on the knightsports pricing of almost the exact same hood).

A few more non-sticker pics for hyper.

RedR1,
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out. I could darken the CF hoods, but fooling around with black in photoshop is not fun (for me at least). I'll take what you give me though.

Shinobi-X,

That dark silver J-spec with the AD hood 9--is that an N1 nose? It looks nice.

Man the AD hood 9 looks pretty nice. Which one of these hoods function better to vent out heat, scoot or AD 9?

Well this right here just convinced me not to buy this should i ever get a FD....As well as the pic above it..

Back on topic.. I like the AD-9 hood.. But ONLY if you have the body kit to go wit it.. It looks pretty stupid if its on a stock car.

And one more thing.. this just made me hate japan even more...

Hyper,
Yeah, that's the N1 front end.

AbadR1,
From the looks of it, my best guess would be the AD 9, for the sheer amount and placement of vents. They both have the rearward most vents, so aside from that (and visualy speaking), the RE hood looks like it would do a better job...but I'd honestly take either over stock.
