RB front air dam

I'm looking at body kits for my FD and can't seem to find anything that I really love.
I like the stock looking front and the 99spec front. I'm just not sure I want to deal with all the hassles/ extra parts that come with the 99spec front right now.
So, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Racing Beat front air dam.
Also, is the RB the same as the air dam that Wing West sells?
And if you are not a fan of the RB front, then please keep your comments to your self; I know it's not the most popular air dam for the FD.

I have the RB front air dam and I think it looks really good. The only problem is that it is a pain in the *** to get it to fit right. I have spent countless numbers of hours shaving down parts of it to make it fit my front end better but I have given up and now i just plan on having it molded to the front. I'll post pics when it is done.

Why not go 99 spec front lip. It's more agressive than the R1 lip and still keeps the stock bumper, since you like that one

I almost picked up the RB Air Dam. I grabbed the '99 spec instead and I'll tell you why....

The RB Chin Spoiler was on my car when I purchased it. Over the years, and many driveways, that fiberglass got all torn up. I didn't want to have another fiberglass part up there to get torn up again.

I love the look of the RB Air Dam, but in my area, it would get scraped everywhere.

Yeah, that's another good point, I have an "everyday driver" so that I don't drive my fd that often, but when I do I have to be really careful not to go up any steep driveways. I don't really mind because I don't drive that often, but if it was my everyday driver, I would probably get annoyed. Luckily I haven't scraped yet (knock on wood)

Mahjik, how did yours fit? was it bad like nick's?

I have thought about going with the 99spec lip on my stock front end, but I don't like the way they look when painted. I want something that flows with the front. Both the 99 and the R1 lips look like afterthoughts, especially when left black.
I am considering the R1 lip painted, however, it doesn't really add much to the front (not aggressive enough).

Thanx for the input guys!

Possibly because some of us think it is very ugly.

The Chin Spoiler that was on the car is different than the Air Dam.

Painting the lip will still give you the same problems (i.e. chipping). The '99 Spec lip has more function than some of the others as it does provide some downforce in the front.

Here's a painted 99 spec lip for comparison.
