well, at 6'3" the FD must seem pretty small anyways...I was 6' and I thought I was in a Shriner's car.

Yeah, I have to lay the seat way back, which is fine with me, if the seat was at least comfortable.

any links to these seats...

str8down- i find the FD seats to be very comfortable, but i guess since you are a lot bigger than me, that probably is where the comfort difference lays...

i track my car and just want something more supportive.. plus my driver seat leather is torn and instead of reupholstering the seats (g/f's request) i much rather get something i can use and not slide around in.

I have the DAD seats which had to have custom brackets but they fit in the car well. I however have found that with a helmet on, I'm way too tall for the car. Anyone know which seat sits the lowest? I really do not want to remove the rails and weld to the floor

And by the way I have done a search and there seems to be a lot of contradiction.

I know of a company in California that can custom make seat adapters for about $70 per side. They will custom make the brakets for any brand seat and it usually only takes about a day or two.

The company is called WEDGE ENGINEERING. It is off the 91 freeway off of Cherry. If you need the phone number send me a pm and I will try to get it for you.

so what do you think about these seats?

they're only 325 for a pair... im gonna email the guy asking him if they're really mazdaspeed seats or did he stitch them on (i doubt it)..

but overall, what do you think about them? personally, i dont want to get seats that are cheap or a cheap fnf brand.. i want something decent for now (since my stock leather ones are all F'ed up!!) and maybe get some recaro's next year or something..

No, those are not authentic Mazdaspeed seats. Yes, they are some cheap *** seats with Mazdaspeed stitched on them.

Actually, from what i've heard, the evo 2's dont fit. They are too wide. But the regular Evo's fit.

I've also seen recaro SPG's fit in FD's, but they need a custom rail. I have heard that recaro japan sells rails for the FD.

How about the sparco Fighter seat? It looks very comfy and it's perfect for my build (32-34 waist)

Does anybody have any info on the Bride (I think it is pronounced brid) seats? They seam to be building quit a reputation.
I think that the Sparco Roadsters will fit but keep in mind that they are a fixed seat and the bolsters were made small for the ease of entry and exit of a vehicle. With that info, I dont really think that they would offer much support in a track car.
Just my $.02

Actually i think the bride seats would fit in an FD. I'm not sure which seat, but i've seen them in a few 7's. Also, i've seen them in some RE-Amemiya cars. So they must fit.

The roadsters probably wouldn't provide much support on a track car. They look like they'd be suited for the street, but nothing else.

If anyone knows, please chime in.
