are you looking for seats exactly like the ones in the movie to store NOS under them?? if so, it is not a good idea. if you wave a passenger in the seat, the heat from his or her butt will warm up the bottles. have you seen what heat does to NOS? (hint: what happened to the green Eclipse ). or even worse, say the passenger farts on the seat. the heat mixed with the methane gas escaping from his or her anus can ignite the NOS, and then....kabbom.

i would only have the NOS bottles under there, but empty. dont fill the bottles up. just have them for show, and to intimidate potential racers.

I hate that damn movie...hate it hate it hate it.

I had a buddy trying to track down the "three tone blow off valve" on the eclipse...that thing wasn't even a turbo (in real life).

Do you know how uncomfortable that seat would be? Not mention the possibility of blowing the *** off of your passenger...

well i think it would take more that=n a hot *** to blow the tanks expeschially if i has some sort of ac cooling system hooked up to keep them chilled. but i just want the seats and i think the nos set up under there will be safe.

yea, great, whatever, that movie sucks, You may not notive this but in the first part of the movie where he was driving that damn eclipse the bitch shifted seven times, huh? how is that? Ask your selves, then watch it and listed carefully.

also, isn't nitrous supposed to be a little warm, this is why they sell heaters and bottle blankets for the tanks. The warmer it is the less condense, and the more reactive the molecules......... I think=im dangerous
Just what I was thinking. They make bottle warmers for the stuff.
And for christ sakes people, N2O DOES NOT EXPLODE!!! It only fuels the fire.

The Nitrous may not ignite itself, but the pressure from warming will cause the tank to explode. This is elementary pressure physics.

ok, as far as the tanks exploding from someone sitting on them, think about how hot your car is when you leave it in the sun in a parking lot for a few hours, if the tank can withstand that kind of heat, I am almost certain that it can withstand the (maybe) 95 degree's from someones butt. Think people, it only hurts the first couple times, promise.

Grenades don't explode without the pin being pulled either...doesn't necessarily mean I want to sit on one all day.

I understand that the risk of a tank exploding is minimal, but it doesn't negate the silliness of the FnF and what it's done to the tuner world.

I can't imagine what's going on in the states right now, but I was just up in Ramstein Germany (the largest American community outside the U.S.) and it is absolutely criminal what people are doing to their cars.

And all the while trumpeting the battles cries of the FnF soundtrack "watchyo-watchyo-watchyo back!"

First, you do have N20 warming blankets so you can have a good feed of N20 upon shot. I believe it makes the stream of N20 more consistent. Cold N20 bottle isn't good.

Second, you have a check vavle instead in case the pressure in the bottle exceeds safe levels. Most people with any sense of smarts will install the fitting.

Finally, I seriously doubt you'll blow the bottle by having someone sit on it, even in the hot Texas sun.

Farting could cause some serious damage though.

Pressure vessels in motor vehicles have to have a relief valve built into them. So sayeth the US DOT. Even if you overheat a nitrous bottle- unless you use an oxyacetylene torch- it won't just go "boom". It'll go "hisssssssssssssssssssss" and your 45 dollar fill up will escape into the atmosphere. You DID install the bottle with a relief valve vent line outside the passenger compartment, didn't you?

The bottle warmers are to help maintain a consistent, high pressure in the bottle. Most N20 systems are designed for about 1000psi (some say 900) in the bottle, and if the pressure varies, the nitrous/fuel ratio will be off.

God I hated that movie... as if there wasn't enough bullshit floating around in the world, they had to go and stir up some more. Why hasn't Hollywood made a decent car move since the 60s??? How did they still manage to get SO much wrong in F&F???

"Hes got enough NOS to blow his self up, PERIOD"

"I need NOS. One of the big bottles. Make it 2"

NOS is warmed with a bottle warmer to stay at a constant ~85-90 degrees for optimum bottle pressure, as someone said before. I think you would be safe if an African Elephant farted in ur FD.

And yes, those were stock seats.
BTW-why would anyone put the body kit, the exhaust, the wing, the graphics and still want to hide the fact that he has a cheater kit under his stock seats. Yeah, Some sleeper that is.

And i leave you with

"More than you can afford, pal. Ferrari"

I want to make sure noone misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about explosion in anything less than a hot fire.

I also wasn't aware of the blowoff valve.
