I found the corbeu seats that fit in the FD.

I have a Red FD, should I go for Red? or black?

How big are you, and how much comfort are you looking for?

If you like comfort, why are you looking at "racing" seats? You can get new leather covers for the stock seats in whatever design you want for less than decent seats. None of the "wide" versions of "racing" seats are likely to fit in the FD. As far as the Corbeau CR-1 goes, you won't like it if you're looking for comfort. I have a 29" waist and the kidney bolsters are up against my ribcage in that seat.

Also, there are several recent seat threads, please use the search function next time.

so the Corbeau A4 seats are not comforable at all? I love the look of a nice racing seat, plus I figured they would hold you in place a lot better. Am I wrong would I be wasting money?

Go to a Corbeau dealer and try them out. Any seat that keeps you in place better is going to be more confining. The A4 and CR-1 are comfortable if you fit in them. The A4 uses really cheap fabric by the way, the CR-1 uses higher quality.

29" waist isn't as skinny when you're only 5'7".....

Mfanto,

After slapping some harnesses on the stock seats, I'm sticking with the stock seats. I was considering the Corbeau CR1, A4 or Forza's because they have brackets for the FD. Now, I'm just going to recover my stock leather seats.

Damn. He's skinny AND a shrimp (from the 6'4", 34" waist 195 pound guy )

PS to everyone: I would absolutely never buy any sort of seat with large bolsters without sitting in it first. Everybody's hips, ribs and shoulders are different sizes not to mention that most race type seats have a fixed recline angle. You may hate that angle (as I see all the guys who drive with their seat tilted way back and their arms stretched cmopletely out while peering under the steering wheel in that "I'm too sexy" look). The fact that it fits in the car won't mean squat if you're terribly uncomfortable but I get the idea more and more often that you guys are willing to suffer any and all consequences for any amount of "cool" factor. Change for the sake of change is useless.

Bastards!

DamonB: Unfortunately, your very logical comments are completely lost on most of the forum members...

Mfanto, just reupholster the stock seats as I suggested earlier. You can get whatever leather color combos you want.

Yup you're right. I have been trying to purchase some seats for some time now but have not been able to test any of them out. But then again I don't really care about that "sexy" look. haha

I'm using the M2 Harness Bar with the G-Force GF-5000 harnesses.

Is the Clubman just a 4-point? Depending on what you are doing, some sanctions don't allow 4-points so make sure you are purchasing something you can use for your application.

I have some Bride Zeta II type-S in my Fd. They fit fine and aren't hard to get in, don't rub or anything like that. I'm 6'3" 165lbs. with a 32 waist and i fit fine. They are a pretty comfy seat to be in on long trips too.

Get some Bride Brix II if you're going for comfort and style. I have a 36 inch waist and room is just fine.

This is good info. Thank-you.

Did you get the seats with the proper rails or did you make your own?

How is overall headroom witht the seat rails?

Can we/I get a few pics?

And finally... WHERE did you get these from?

Thanks in advance,
David
