I just wanted to get your guy's opinion about the positioning of the mufflers. Do you guys think the mufflers pointed sideways looks like rice-o-roni? I seen it on a couple FD's and had mixed feelings.

The real purpose of the 'N1' Style exhaust is to reduce bends in the piping, but it has become more of a trendy thing.
Best example I could find was in this 240sx exhaust. (couldnt find any of a 7's exhaust side by side)

Thanks for the reply, the only, lol. I think I can agree that it would inhibit, flow of the exhaust, but I aint really after a 600hp rotary. I just wanted to get some ideas.

I think the angled look is best suited for cannister style exhausts, and the straight look is best for the muffler style exhaust.
Angled (mitch, i'm gonna use your car if you dont mind )
straight
I really cant pick a favorite, they both look great on FD.

IMO canister style mufflers look very stupid straight. Reminds me of those hondas that put the ractive 'canister' style exhausts on that aim straight and down lmao.

I will reenter my vote for straight. I have seen very few cars where the angle muffler looks good even with body kits. but hey thats just my 2 cents.

Exactly what i said. Cannisters might not look as good straight back like the rb dual tip, but try and picture an rb dual tip sideways. Only cannister style exhausts look good that way. Each exhaust has its own distinct look.
