Yeah.

The way you have it hooked up the amp will drain the battery and it will have no way to charge. I would run some 0 Gauge wire from your alternator to both your original battery and the new one.

I honestly dont think that there is any need in installing another battery. What are you planning on running? I have had many systems that never needed an additional battery. Maybe instead you should get an oldschool high current amp and one of us amps step up boxes and run 16 volts. Or you could just buy a cap. Your gonna be shellin out alot of cash for the wire you need and an additional battery.

Caps are practically useless. They store energy for when the sub hits and it needs power......but think about where that power comes from; it still comes from the battery so you aren't any better off.

I agree though, I doubt he needs another battery. Unless you are running over 800RMS then I doubt you would need it. How many amps does the alt on an FB put out?

What are you planning if you don't mind me asking?

well the cap isn't useless. it stores alot of energy so that its right there when the amp needs it, then recharges quickly, now if you are pushing really loud bass on a constant rate then no the cap will not help, unless its really big.. a second battery, i have heard of people doing that but you are still gonna have problems without a big enough alternator, also you are adding how many pounds to the car.
my best advice would be to run 1/0 g wire with a decent cap and a beefed up alternator, shouldn't have any probs then...

Well i'm not going to do it to my car, some body wants to blow the doors of his car and he asked me for help. I personally don't think a cap would help his cause. i'm happy with my 200 rms 10 inch sub lol. but I have a 70 amp 1986 alt on my car.
