Purple engine bay?

Hey guys,

I've glanced through the engine bay pics, and I didn't notice any purple engine accents. I'm sure there's probably some people out there with it, but I haven't come across any yet.

I'd like to do something unique, and I like the idea of my black FD with a black and purple engine bay. I've ordered some purple Samco sport rad hoses, some purple vacuum lines for my vacuum line replacement, and a purple tial BOV.

After thinking about it, and looking at pictures of the hoses and such, I'm starting to second guess myself. The purple might be a little light, and I'm not sure how it will all look. It'll be a few weeks before my stuff gets here, but I'd like to decide now before I buy anything else or get anything powder coated.

Anyway, thoughts? Opinions? Has anyone done a purple motif?

Thanks!

-Devan

Search up Carsey's posts (username: ihavetwins) - He has a lot of purple powder coated goodness in his engine bay.

Also StarScreamFD has a purple/black engine

May be of use to you for inspiration.

Black and a dark purple was actually something that I was thinking of doing with mine too. Now I have to change

These things are always fraught with near-rice connotations.
SOME 'accents' can be okay, but most go wayyyyyy overboard and the car ends up looking like some Honda fan-boy's wet dream.

The word 'tasteful' comes to mind.
