Fitment may be awful on the bumper but the headlight fitment doesn't look that good either. No offense but they don't exactly sit flush, at least in these pics.

Damn and it's funny how the pre-auto site says..

"re-amemiya front bumper N1
rare find, perfect fitment and quality guaranteed. we are the ONLY vendor to sell this in the us. this sells for $489 on pre-auto.com disregard any lower price."

Doesn't look like perfect fitment or quality to me...

Why can you still buy it from their site though? Or at least it's still there to be able to buy. They even have a special for the undertray going on.

As far as I can see, you can only buy the N1 replica hood and undersweep, but not the bodykit. Where did you look? The special on the undersweep has me wanting to buy an N1 bumper for that.

Thanks, but wow thats some price. Then again its not the replica. He used to sell the replica for way cheaper.

Not to hijack the thread, but I wonder how you even get the undersweep off if you need to work on stuff from under the car? Put screws in the front part that attaches to your fiberglass bumper and just unscrew them to take the whole undersweep off? I would think you'd end up with a bunch of cracks in your bumper after doing that a few times.

as far as i know Re-A didnt give any dealership rights to the states so no company there should have legit products. also i think re stuff only works well with only re stuff.

Regardless if the fitment was good or bad, a good body shop wouldve been able to fix it. But in the end, you pay for what you get so dont expect perfect fitment on a replica.

Edit: Oh wait, is your hood closed all the way or still open?

When will you people learn? You get what you pay for, if you want a bad *** body kit, save up and get the authentic version, not a copy. How many more threads need to be posted about bad fitment before people stop being so cheap?

DONT BUY REPLICA BODY PARTS - EVER.

i know someone was talking about the n1 undersweep, chuck at rotaryextreme is selling a cf and fg version, it just came out, looks amazing. On a side note, that fitment was awful, how was the fitment before with the stock bumper and aftermarket hood?

What does buying replica parts have to do with good fitment? NOTHING! Most replicas are made from molds of original parts. I've seen original parts and replica parts that fit like ****. Its all about how well the mold is made and how many times that specific mold has been used. Once a mold is used so many times it starts to deform and a new mold needs to be cast, you just can't use the same mold forever and expect the pieces coming from it to be a perfect fit everytime. The fact that companys that make original parts can usually make new casts more often than a company that is selling replicas is the only difference in the two.

the fact is that rx-7 owners have to stop being so sheisty about their cars and stop buying replicas. if you really love your car you'll take into consideration the engineering and development that went into the aero parts for the car. third parties that make replicas are basically not doing **** other than taking a copy of someone else's design and plagarizing it. they shouldn't even be able to do that.

i just feel that to own this car means taking the responsibility of respecting everything people put into it, and this is just a sad example of what can happen.

i'm going to second stokedxiv and just say, dude, keep it real. its what makes FD's what they are, and ownership is slowly degenerating into a penny pinching group that will disregard everything other than cost to make the car look good and run decent.

Not everyone that purchases replicas are penny-pinchers. With a family, mortage, private school for my son, I find it neccessary to rationalize what I purchase for my FD. BTW what are your financial obligations?

Major distributors have acess to RE-A parts, but the discounts are terrible. I got a buddy who exports RE to me from japan, shipping/customs can be a bitch though.

If you know how to talk to them and buy accordingly the discount is nice.

I have been saying most replicas suck ***** for a long time. If the fight continues im sure the thread will be closed. Its useless talk, but it is funny to see another replica looking like ****, bummer for the buyer though.

Replicas are inferrior for the most part, they are a copy off the original, plus you can return the original in almost 100% of the time if not satisfied. PLUS the lower cost replicas usually buy the mold too which has been passed around for ever and they use inferior materials and dont take the time to fix the mistakes since they cant afford it since the bumper sells as $100-$300..

Im tired so sorry about the spelling.

Just becareful what you buy..

please excuse me if it seemed as if i was generalizing everyone here on the forum. although i myself are in no position to be spending big bucks on a hobby, i feel that instead of purchasing a replica, it's almost always better to invest in more time to acquire that part simply because it keeps what's designed in its optimum form on the car, and anything that isn't- off. seeing people purchase two-bit c-west kits on ebay is a shame, and makes me feel like people don't really care about the "name and culture" behind owning this car. i understand replicas that are renditions of the original part that was altered to better orient itself to the U.S. market (aka noseless 99 spec front.
when i purchased my FD, i appreciated it not only for the car its supposed to be, but for what the previous owner did to make it be "all that it can be". as cheesy as it sounds, i have a sappy love relationship with my car :P. but even with the fine line of human and machine, i treat my FD with the best products even though i'm constantly broke. i do it piece by piece and relish every part i acquire. i just get confused when some people don't seem to be like me.
