Cool Post some pics of stealthy/sleek black on black FDs.

I am deciding whether or not to paint my rims gloss black lip with a matte centre. I have the Advan Sa3r and a black FD. Post some pics of black on black FDs.

Thanks,
K.T

gloss black lip and matte center is SICK. You need an aggressive and low car to pull it off IMO.

Picture of your car? Super advans are hit or miss, I am personally not a fan of the wheel, other than maybe the ones with really low offsets so the face concaves.

Here are the tail lights before 99 spec conversion

My advans are 18x9.5 rears and 18x8.5 fronts with +35 all round I believe

You have a really clean car, these wheels do not suit your car at all. For your reference:

basic photoshop in black

only picture where i have some-what liked them,

Again this is just my personal opinion, I hate for a really clean fd to be distracted by its wheels.

what about black center with a dark purple lip?

I was planing on getting the Feed bumper ( same one you bought in your build and the re diffuser ) think the rims would work with that?

I honestly think that black on black doesn't look that great. It just looks like you have spare tires on. I would go for black with chrome lip, or white. =]

Also, advans don't look that great on the FD IMO. That NSX is sick though. The wheels actually match.

Some pics:

Not black rims, but bronze which looks real nice with that wheel style.

Not a black FD, MB but you can see what your color ring will look like.

And a few more...

Correct. They are long discontinued. Volk also made the le37a which came with a polished lip, also discontinued.
