POrted and Sealed?

Newbie here. I was wondering what's the difference between the two. I know what a ported box and sealed box is, but what's the difference in the quality? And which would you prefeR?

Depends if you want super loud bass or a some one kinda crisper bass. I had a custom made fiberglass seald box in my old 300z wiht one JL w3 and it hit pretty hard.

I always go with sealed, gives it a tight bass sound. Ported gives you that louder "longer" bass. Sealed box requires you push more watts than a ported box. Anyways go with the recomendations of the speaker, if they allowed for a sealed box, I say go for sealed.
