Pictures of my planned audio system

Headunit: Kenwood KDC-x869

Front components: Focal Polyglass 165v2

Amplifier: Elemental Designs Nine.4

Subwoofers: Elemental Designs Eu - 700 (2x)

Well, thats everything. I already own the Kenwood and the Focals, just waiting for the subs to be released. They are 6.5" subs and I will be putting them in custom fiberglass enclosures that will fit INSIDE the rear shock towers. The amp will be mounted behind the either the passenger or drivers side seat, whichever has more room.

Hmm excellent choices for yourself. You will want to find yourself a front stage amp for the focals. Also, I do not know if its the same in the fc, but in the fd we have 2.5" clearence room, the focals are 2.9", before I would spend the money on the focals I would make sure they work. If they do not, the diamond hexs have a mounting depth of 1.9", and many other brands. I would reccommend another elmental designs amp for the front stage, as playing off the headunit will not give those speakers the watts they need to sound REALLY good.

The amp is a 4ch, so I will only need that single amp. Hopefully the Focals do fit since I already own them haha.

Im pretty sure they will, the recommended airspace is .15-.5 cu ft sealed so I think I should be ok.

It's called a "passive" cross over, you can custom made them; since they are mostly found\sold with components speakers.

so its hard to buy them on their own?

edit: ohhh I see. his speaker has a seperate tweeter, so its used to seperate the signal into the two diff speaker components? not between speakers and subs?

Thats right, the purpose of the crossover is to separate the mid and hihg frequencys to the tweeter and mid range driver.
