I can't recall if I have seen this but am curious how it looks. I plan to do the 99 nose but I have an R1 lip already. Just trying to use what I have and save some $$$ if it don't look bad I'm goon a go for it if not I plan to sell the lip and go all 99. Thanks!

 

This isn't any help as I don't have any pics, but I remember someone did that a while back and I didn't really like the look. But looks are subjective

IMO just go for it. As you said if you don't like the look just replace it with a 99 one. But keep in mind that there may be some massaging in order to fit the 99 bumper with the 93 lip.

Sorry I have the 99 lip. But also wonder what the r1 would look like.

 

Just went through my collection of 500+ pictures of '99 spec front bumpers and NONE of them have the R1 lip installed.

 

Hmmm makes me wonder? I'm sure someone has done it. I mean u see the 99 lip on the 93-95 fronts.

You won't see a pic like that because it looks BOBO. Just spring for the lip. You will see plenty off 99 spec lips on US spec bumpers for a reason.
