pic request: alumunium scuff plate polish

my alumunium scuff plates have a lot of scratches on them. Is it possible to polish them?? YES......so i have read when i searched. however there are no pics attached........as in how they look once polished. Moreover, should i polish them or get them painted??

Any help appreciated.

You can polish these aluminum sills no problem and get them to look exactly like chrome. This *is* however a job best left to a pro with the proper materials and equipment; you'll never ever get them to look anywhere near as good doing it by hand.

That said, "SurgeMonster" here on the forum does this kind of work.

No problem. BTW, check out "apneablue's" scuff plates. He polished the RX-7 logo. Nice, eh? And BTW, I read here several months ago that these scuff plates are being discontinued by Mazda, so if you really want 'em, put your order in as soon as you can.
