Need new Seats....Suggestions?

I need some new seats for my 91 Vert. Seat covers won't cut it becuase the underlying faom in the current seats is compressed and even missing in some places. So I am trying to decide if I should go with after market seats or get originals. The speakers in the headrest aren't an issue, can go with or without them. They probably wouldn't work with a new sound system anyway.

If you have suggestions lets hear them. Links and pictures are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Devdude

I could probably swing $500 to $700 for the pair. I checked out some Recaro seats but they were just too spendy. On the order of $1000 + per seat.

Anyone know of a good place to buy stock replacement seats?

Ebay is a good place for stock seats, as well as the for/sale wanted section of this site. Also on ebay there are nice no-brand racing seats for around $350. They look good and are very supportive and well made. You'd most likely have to make your own brakets for the sliders but at that price it's still a good deal.

Very large selection and prices below $300 a seat (including leather). I have decided to re-upholster mine, but I was very close to select these.

Look up Mazmart in Atlanta. I don't have their number but it's accessible through the web. I bought a pair of R1 seats for $300 bucks. They also have a bunch of FB and FC original seats just gathering dust. Most of them looked real good. Anyway, I have a pair of black leather seats that came off my 93 FD I can sell you for $200. The passenger side looks awesome but the driver side definitely needs to be re-covered. Repair will probably run $125.
