dAVID, count me in! My car is due for a paintjob and im looking to get that done in the next 2 months...This will be perfect. Im in ... It would be awesome if they can send the thing painted.
I doubt pettit will be offering a group buy in lights and lips but either way! Im sure someone else will be up for it since there is such a large demand. I have no idea why RX-7 Online Stores and Shops around the US havent come up with the idea of offering a group buy for the forum. Is a no brainer that every FD owners wants it... what were they thinking?

I think Pettit WILL offer a discount on the lights and lips also. I'm really pressing them on this also and haven;t heard yet that this will be a problem. To Pettit's credit, they are making sure that thier fabrication shop can handle the production of a group buy on the front ends. They don't want to take the orders and not be able to deliver.

Just got off the phone with Jeff from Pettit Racing. He's checked on his fabrication sources and can do the project.
The price for the Pettit 99 Spec front end is normally $550. For a group buy of 10 or more, Pettit will discount the price to $465. Jeff is also finalizing prices for the 99 spec lights and the front lip. He indicates that he can give you a discount on these items of at least what he's giving you on the front end, but is working sources to do even better. He said he'll have this worked up soon.
He also indicates that he'll give you the same discount on any other items you might wish to order from Pettit if you participate in this group buy so if you need other parts, this is a sweet deal.
To participate, call Jeff at Pettit Racing at 954.563.6064 and indicate you'd like to be part of the "David Hayes Group Buy". Never expected to have my own "group buy" especially since I get no discount because I need no parts, but whatever!
As soon as Jeff receives at least 10 orders, they'll crank out the bumpers and they'll ship on a "first come first serve" basis.
I'll post the prices for the lights and lips as soon as I hear from Jeff but like I said earlier, Pettit will guarantee at least the same discount and will probably be able to do better.

No, you'll need to have the front end painted yourself. Pettit is leary of shipping a painted front end. As I recall, mine cost about $200 or so to have it painted. Because my car was at Pettit at the time, I had their body shop person across the street perform the work.

Could it be possible to sticky this somewhere where we can find it easy as well as make an ACTUAL list who have called? This way potential buyers can see who has called and what the number is at
EDIT: Doing some quick math, it seems we are getting a 15% discount. If that 15% is also what we get for their price on teh 99 lamps and front lip....its still cheaper to buy those 2 parts elsewhere.

Regarding the lights and lip, I beleive you'll see a better price than a 15% discount. Pettit is aware that you can shop around for the other parts, so they want to make it worthwhile to you.

I'll be more than happy to assit with this. If you are interested, you could PM me with your name. I could post the list and let you know how many are interested and when you reach 10.
Another thought might be to contact Pettit and let them know you are interested in the "David Hayes Group Buy" only if 10 persons sign up for the deal. If they don't reach 10, then I would think you could get your money back if you would like. Just a thought.

I already paid the $550, should be on the truck by now. If 9 more orders come in I'll be happy with the refund.
